Program Overview

Wednesday, August 27, 2025

Social Excursion to Sprogø (Limited to 40 participants) We begin our conference with a guided tour of Sprogø, known for its historical women’s institution that operated from 1923 to 1961. The island housed women deemed ‘morally deviant’ by society, many of whom were institutionalized against their will. This visit will provide insight into past social care practices and ethical dilemmas while offering a chance to reflect on historical approaches to marginalized groups. A unique opportunity to network in an informal setting while exploring an important piece of Danish history.

Thursday, August 28, 2025

Keynotes & Discussions A full day of inspiring presentations, case discussions, and opportunities for professional dialogue. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues, exchange best practices, and gain practical insights to implement in their daily practice.

The afternoons program will focus on research from the Nordic countries, and we have invited speakers from all the countries to share their latest findings with us.

General Assembly – NFH Nordic On Thursday, the conference will also host the General Assembly for NFH Norden, providing an important opportunity for members to discuss key issues and future initiatives before the evening’s dinner.

Dinner & Entertainment In the evening, join us for a festive dinner featuring live entertainment and a chance to unwind with peers in a relaxed atmosphere.

Friday, August 29, 2025

This visit will provide insight into past social care practices and ethical dilemmas while offering a chance to reflect on historical approaches to marginalized groups. A unique opportunity to network in an informal setting while exploring an important piece of Danish history.
